Rationally, I completely agree with this. However, swooning over a fictional character has no business in reality, and therefor rationality cannot apply. So, when it comes to Loki, the heart* wants what the heart* wants.
* = I really mean “lady business”

"A scientist conducted an experiment. She put frog number one into a pan of very hot water. The frog jumped right out. Then she placed frog number two into a pan of cool water. The frog didn’t jump out. Very gradually, the scientist raised the temperature of the water. The frog gradually adapted until it boiled to death."

Voices

You know that ringing sound that you will perceive when you are in a very quiet area? Some people say this is an auditory-illusion brought about the ear’s inability to detect frequencies below the threshold of the human senses. This is completely wrong. That ringing covers up something else altogether. If you are quick, patient, and maybe a little lucky, you will be able to hear past the ringing. What you will hear are voices whispering to each other. They will silence themselves quickly but with practice, you will become more adept at catching and interpreting what they are saying. You will hear things of the past, the present, and the future. However, you must be careful. Because there is no such thing as a voice without a body.

And when you start noticing them, they will start noticing you.

"Where did Lestat come from? I’m asked that question a lot in so many words. Hard to answer. Lestat was a character who evolved without my paying much attention to him. He was born in the corner of my eye, an antagonist who took over a book (Interview with the Vampire) as if he would have it no other way, and then he became the hero of a series of books, unstoppable, like some one who had possession of my mind, dictating to me, causing me to turn from all other pursuits just to channel him and his personality and his conflicts. He’s always with me. But where did he come from? I don’t know. And maybe it’s better that way."

"It’s funny how we keep track of time cyclically. There will always be another January, another Monday, another 5:30PM, another full moon, another day. This cyclical concept creates an illusion that we can have a moment back—that time only moves forward to a certain point and starts over. We know it’s not true. We know there will never be another day, another minute, quite like this one. Summer can return, but it won’t be like the summer before. It can’t be. When we look at our aging loved ones we know time doesn’t really work that way. What we can’t understand is why it shouldn’t. If Monday gets a second chance, why can’t we?"

This is the coolest kid I know. Note the bandage on his head…bad ass. He’s got six stitches under there. I had nothing to do with it.
